Atter Bamboo

Atter is a useful ornamental bamboo. Another great Javanese bamboo, Atter is a good looking plant with delicious shoots and good, strong, straight, workable timber. At 16 metres or so, its a medium sized useful bamboo. It's not as frost hardy as Oldhami or Latiflores, and heavy frost will burn the leaves and new shoots, as it will other Gigantochloa species, but very attractive.
